Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data wslat.co collects when you use the service, how it is used, how long it is kept, and what rights you have. By using the site you agree to the terms below.

What we collect

wslat.co does not require an account in Phase 1, and we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the tools. We collect only the minimum data needed to operate and improve the service:

  • The original URL and the short code you create.
  • Click counts per link and the timestamp of the last click.
  • Coarse device type (mobile / desktop) and operating system family.
  • The visitor's approximate country (not city or address).
  • Referrer when available.
  • A hashed (irreversible) version of the visitor's IP address, used only to count unique visitors.

How we use your data

  • To redirect short links to their destination.
  • To display private statistics to the holder of the stats URL.
  • To detect abuse (fraud, spam, malware).
  • To improve the reliability and performance of the service.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not embed third-party tracking tools such as Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics in this phase. We may use a small number of strictly necessary technical cookies.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. We may share technical data with infrastructure providers (hosting, database) only to the extent needed to run the service, and under agreements that protect your privacy.

Data retention

Click data is retained for a limited period for statistical purposes. You can request deletion of a link you created via the Report abuse page, indicating the request relates to your own link. Links that violate our Terms are removed immediately.

Security

We apply reasonable safeguards to protect data, including HTTPS for all traffic and access isolation around our databases. No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to reduce risk.

Your rights

  • Ask whether we hold data about a link you created.
  • Request deletion of a link or its statistics.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page.
